Hollie Sheard - Yorkshire singer/songwriter

Blues, pop, and soul

Hollie Sheard is an original artist from Yorkshire in the North of England. Her gentle, soulful songs have won over fans from all over the UK and even as far as the USA, Australia, and Japan. Back in 2007, when her catalogue of soul and pop ballads became large enough to fill an album, she decided to take them out on the road with a brand new band that became known as Hollie Sheard & Friends. In the hands of a seasoned jazz pianist, a blues guitarist, a funk bassist and a rock drummer, Hollie's music took on an eclectic feel that still characterises it today.

As a songwriter, Hollie has won several awards over the years from the UK Songwriting Contest, including Double Semi-Finalist in 2008, Double Semi-Finalist again in 2009, and Finalist & Runner-Up in 2010.

The band's newest album is called By Hook Or By Crook and is due to be released soon on Saturday 3rd July 2010. To celebrate, the band are hosting an Album Launch at The Library Pub in Leeds. This will be held at 8pm on Saturday 3rd July, and will feature a support set from local singer-songwriter Sebastian John, and a full live set from Hollie Sheard & Friends with performances of all the new album tracks. Please visit the gigs page for more info about the launch, or the online shop to buy tickets.
